Our History
Born At The Track
A local Alabama race car driver and a chemical engineer wanted something that would lift rubber and track debris off a race car without hurting the paint. It took 99 attempts. The 99th went in the can and gave the product its name.
A Car Of Its Own
The brand put its own car on track: a black and yellow No. 99 with QuicShine 99 across the hood, and a crew rarely photographed without a can in hand. Through the 1990s the decal ran with the contingency sponsors on the Winston Cup grid, and in 1998 Ken Schrader put the No. 38 QuicShine 99 Chevrolet on the pole at Springfield and won.
Still In The Can
Production stopped in 2022 and the formula was re-engineered with current polymers. On September 13, 2026, QuicShine99 returned to market: same black can, same oval, one word added to the line along the bottom.
